Donate Your Unwanted Items to Our Store!

As some of you may know, Tennessee Homeless Solutions has a nonprofit store called “Make an Offer,” where customers are encouraged to browse through our items and make an offer on an item that they like. The proceeds from this store go directly to Tennessee Homeless Solutions to help our clients with their needs. While our “Make an Offer” store has been a great tool for our clients and has gotten some great interest from the community, we run our store from community donated items.

Each item that is donated to us is counted, cleaned, and checked for functionality. We are looking for anything and everything that you no longer need or want. Some items that are both useful for our clients and sell well in our store are: Furniture of any kind, clothes, electronics, appliances, and kitchen accessories (such as a toaster or a coffee pot). When you donate to our store, you not only directly help our clients and our organization, but you are also teaming up with us to help end homelessness in West Tennessee.

Donating has many benefits and could save you the danger of selling your items online, the hassle of a yard sale, and they are also tax deductible. If you would like to donate to our store, you have many options: You may simply drop the items off at our Lexington office, or if items are too big or heavy for you to move, you may call our office and we may be able to come pick up the items ourselves. If you would like to donate but are located too far away from our Lexington office, you may also call our office number and we will try to work something out with one of our employees that work in or near your area.

We ask that you please remember us before you throw something away and to please let your friends and family know of our needs as well. We would also like to thank the great people that have donated in the past and those who are planning to donate in the future. We appreciate your contributions very much and could not do the work we do without you!
